When you self-edit, look for:
- errors in spelling, grammar, mechanics
- places where word choice could be improved
- adding in varied sentence structure
- flow of ideas is logical
A top scoring essay will examine critically the societal value of your choice, explaining how it holds significance within a society and why it is of strong value and should be preserved. Evidence and examples used for support are convincing and further develop the author's main points. The essay will be well-planned and organized logically, with strong word choice and close attention paid to accuracy of grammar and mechanics usage throughout the paper.
