Then, we went on to completing a Webquest about King Arthur in small groups. We read about knights and landmarks and other characters of interest in the story.
We used this website for our research:
All groups first read about the "Legendary Arthur."
Next, groups clicked on "Arthurian items" and researched one of the three items: Excalibur, The Holy Grail, or The Round Table (as assigned).
Then, groups saw me for their assigned topics of:
A knight
A landmark or place on land
An Arthurian character
Finally, as a class, we will share our stories of our knights tomorrow in class.
Also, tomorrow in class, we will begin Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Be sure you have read pp. 99-104 and completed the questions to be able to discuss this tomorrow.
