Wednesday, 11/9

Today, we reviewed what needs to be completed in response to the tale you have chosen to read.
You can access your chosen tale via this website:
http://www.canterburytales.org/canterbury_tales.html

The four questions in response to this tale were sent via email, and are also listed below.

After reading this tale, you will need to analyze your tale by answering the following questions. Each answer should be comprehensive, at least one paragraph in length.

1. What happens in the tale? Where is it set? What is the moral or lesson?
2. Who are the main characters in the tale? Why are these characters used?
3. Read over this character's description in the general prologue. How do this storyteller's views and life experiences, as referenced in their section of the general prologue and the tale's prologue, have an impact on the tale he/she tells?
4. How does Chaucer use rhyme, imagery, and perhaps symbolism (elements of language)? How do these elements of language affect your overall interpretation of the tale?
